Tap the + button on the Drives tab. Drive Log will request location permission if needed, then begin recording your route, distance, and duration automatically.

No. Location is only accessed while you are actively recording a drive. When you end a drive, location tracking stops completely.

In Settings, you can set target hours for total driving and night driving. The Requirements section on the Drives tab shows your progress toward these goals — perfect for meeting learner permit requirements.

Yes. Drive Log uses iCloud to sync your drives and service records across all your Apple devices. Your data stays in your private iCloud account.

Go to Settings and tap Export Data. Drive Log generates CSV files of all your drives and service records that you can share via email, AirDrop, or save to Files.

Route lines are colored by speed: green for slower speeds transitioning through yellow and orange to pink/red at higher speeds. This gives you a visual sense of your speed throughout the drive.

Fuel efficiency is calculated using the distance between fill-ups (from odometer readings) divided by the amount of fuel added. Log at least two fuel fill-ups to see your efficiency trend.

Drive Log requires an iPhone running iOS 18 or later.
